Learn to bind your own hardback concertina (accordion) book using traditional materials and techniques, and experiment with alternative structures and styles.
Concertina books allow you to view all pages at once. They make perfect artists book, can be used for sketches or notes, for photos, fine art, travel, family journals. They are unique visual storytelling pieces.
You'll craft your book from start to finish, selecting your own papers and covers. Feel free to bring any paper with sketches, writing, photos, or other elements you wish to include.
In this two-hour session, we’ll take our time crafting something meaningful, embracing the process as much as the final piece.
❊You’ll learn how to make your very own concertina book from scratch, using beautiful materials provided for you. Whether you want to use it for journaling, sketching, or storytelling, this folded book structure is a wonderful way to capture your ideas.
❊ Tea, coffee, homemade snacks and plenty of chats will create a relaxed and inspiring atmosphere throughout the evening.
At the end of the day, you’ll get to bring home your own creation plus the knowledge and skills to make more concertina books.
This workshop is for adults and no previous knowledge is necessary—just bring your creative enthusiasm!

This means that I will come to your space to facilitate a book-making workshop for you and your group, bringing all the materials needed.
These workshops can be tailored to a theme of your choice, making them a perfect way to celebrate and mark your special day.
It’s a wonderful way to create lasting memories in an intimate and close-knit group.
By the end, you’ll have a handmade book that will forever commemorate the occasion.
This is a wonderful activity to celebrate birthdays, pre-wedding/alternative hen parties, gathering of friends, or a special family treat. Children aged 14 and up can follow along independently, while younger ones (free of charge) may need to co-create with a parent.
Additionally, there is an option to add extra time to fill and design the inside of the Concertina books.
